Lauren Kimble-Giglia, LMHC-D
I’m Lauren Kimble-Giglia, a licensed mental health counselor and credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor dedicated to supporting adults, particularly within the LGBTQ community. I received a Master’s degree from The College at Brockport, SUNY in Mental Health
Counseling and have been practicing for over 10 years. My passion lies in fostering a safe and affirming space where individuals can explore their challenges and develop the skills they need to lead fulfilling lives.
With a background in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I focus on helping clients cultivate mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT has been especially impactful in my work, as I find it provides practical tools for clients to navigate their emotions and relationships, empowering them to make meaningful changes in their lives.
As a member of the LGBTQ community myself, I understand the unique struggles and strengths that come with this identity. I am committed to advocating for my clients and ensuring that their experiences are validated and heard. I work collaboratively with individuals facing various issues related to mental health and substance use, tailoring my approach to meet their specific needs.
Outside of my practice, I am passionate about community outreach and education, working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use challenges. I am an animal lover and enjoy spending time with friends & family. If you’re seeking support in navigating life’s complexities, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth. Together, we can explore the paths that lead to a more balanced and empowered life.
